The KS/CS Communication umbrella association asked Patrick Zanello to interview communications professionals in French-speaking Switzerland. Cominmag is taking advantage of the Ascension Bridge to publish them on its platform, thus completing the approach launched with its Cominmag Live interviews with communications agencies in French-speaking Switzerland at the time of Covid-19.
We're now in the 4th week of semi-confinement, how are you doing at Mediamix?
Thanks for checking in! So far, everyone is doing well (fingers crossed).Telecommuting has been in place since March 10. As everyone has a laptop with vpn, the transition was simple and immediate. We've set up a WhatsApp group to encourage exchanges and pass on information more quickly. And like everyone else, we use video-conferencing for our meetings. In a nutshell, we're on a roll.
How can you be "useful" to your customers when you run an agency?
In the circumstances we live in, our customers naturally have special demands. For our part, we have to be as flexible as possible, but as agility is in our DNA as an independent agency, we guarantee 100% service with an adapted system. The close relationship we have with most of our customers is a major asset that is now revealing its full value.
Talking a little about business, what are your big challenges ahead?
As long as everyone believes that the second half of the year will at least partially offset the first, we remain optimistic. Some of our customers have already (re)launched their activities in China, through our partnership with the Hylink agency. This is excellent news. Others are asking us to prepare the ground for the long-awaited second half of the year.
The challenge will be either to respond to increased and concentrated demand, or to cope with a full year of crisis. Either way, it's going to be hot. Challenges motivate us, but uncertainties have never been greater. Let's face it.
In this special period, what book, series or song would you recommend to CS members?
A book: "Le journal intime d'un arbre" by Didier van Cauwelaert
A series: "Mars" (Netflix)
A song: "Solsbury Hill" by Peter Gabriel
